Four generations of the Schostak family, including its founder Louis H. Schostak, his son, Jerome L. Schostak, his grandsons, Robert, David and Mark, and now his great-grandson, Jeffrey have established a real estate leadership tradition.

Schostak Brothers currently operates commercial properties in 19 states as a full-service real estate development, management, leasing and consulting company.  Since 1920, the company's activities have included development, acquisitions and leasing of retail, office, industrial, residential, mixed use projects both urban and suburban. Schostak’s current activities include joint ventures, build to suit projects, mixed use developments and a variety of necessity-based retail and open air centers located throughout the United States. 

Community Involvement

Schostak is committed to a variety of civic and charitable organizations within the community. The company and family contributes to programs which support our troops overseas, stem cell research, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Within the metropolitan Detroit community, the company is actively involved in The New Detroit Science Center, The Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit Opera House, Detroit Zoo, and Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan.

The Schostak family’s Philanthropic Foundation’s strong emphasis on education provides scholarships, endowment funds and capital campaigns for facilities and worthy causes including the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit, University of Michigan, Oakland University, and Wayne State University.
