ERIK FIX is a Project Manager in the Development and Construction Division with 30 years of experience in general contracting, construction management, development and project management with companies such as White Construction, the University of Michigan, Siemens Medical Solutions and Schostak Brothers & Company, Inc.
Erik’s responsibilities include functioning as the Landlord Representative on shopping center and office projects or as the Owner's Representative on projects developed for Schostak Brothers or for Schostak clients. Erik is experienced in all phases of development and construction including ground-up new site and building development as well as existing retail, warehouse, and office redevelopment / renovation.
His responsibilities include:
- Obtaining City / Township, County and State approvals
- Estimating and creating project budget and proformas
- Reviewing drawings
- Hiring civil engineers, architects, consultants and contractors
- Drafting and reviewing Purchase Agreement and Lease exhibits
- Managing construction timelines and schedules
- Monitoring construction activities and performing site visits
Erik received his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University and his Masters in Construction Management from Eastern Michigan University. He has earned his PMI certification as well.
