SHARI THAKADY joined Schostak Brothers as Assistant Director of the Schostak Family Office on September 2, 2025. In May 2026, she transitioned to Executive Vice President and Chief Tax Officer of Schostak Brothers and Managing Director of the Schostak Family Office.
With nearly three decades of experience in real estate taxation, Shari has held senior tax leadership positions within publicly traded REITs and has served in advisory roles for both public REITs and privately held real estate companies. Her expertise includes complex tax planning, tax compliance, transaction structuring, and process improvement initiatives.
Prior to joining Schostak Brothers, Shari served as Senior Vice President of Tax at RPT Realty (formerly Ramco-Gershenson Properties Trust). In that position, she played a key role in supporting the formation of two international joint ventures and contributed to the successful sale of RPT Realty to Kimco Realty.
Shari began her career at Deloitte, where she specialized in real estate taxation. Throughout her career, she has combined institutional REIT experience with advisory expertise, providing strategic insight into the tax, financial, and business considerations that impact real estate organizations and their investments.
Shari earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
